BidVertiser is an internet advertising company offering site-targeted pay-per-click (PPC) text ads and image ads. The company was launched in 2003 by Bpath and provide side-targeted ads where advertisers can select categories of websites for their advertisement to appear. The system is different than automated keyword-based ads placement that Google AdSense and Overture (now Yahoo! Search Marketing) ran at that time. Keyword-based ads placement allow ads to appear on pages that contain keywords specified by advertisers in the title regardless of what category the main website is about. BidVertiser provide site-targeted placement by asking both advertisers and website publishers to specify categories for their ads and websites. The action is to make sure an advertisement only appear in relevant websites instead of any website that have the same keywords as the ads. Since Google and Yahoo! used two different advertising services where one is just for advertisers and another is just for publishers (eg. AdWords and AdSense), BidVertiser simply combined all services for advertisers and publishers in one system.


Advertisers :

Anybody can become an advertiser including eBay sellers who want to advertise their listings or eBay Stores. The system provided by BidVertiser was claimed to give advertisers complete control of their ads by allowing them to place ads directly on website categories of their choice and pay only when the ads are being clicked. Every website category is listed with the number of websites available and possibly displaying ads of the advertiser. Geographic targeting allow advertisers to specify location by countries of where their ads to be displayed. Since the ads are pay-per-click (PPC) model, advertisers will only have to pay for every click no matter how many websites their ads are appearing. Advertiser center shows the performance of each ads with reports for page impressions, total clicks, click-through rate (CTR), and the amount that have been spend by the advertiser. Ads performance tracker can help advertisers to analyze the performance of an ads by looking at how many clicks are converting to sales, lead, or signups on the advertiser's page. This tool is helpful to check the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of the ads. BidVertiser let advertisers to bid for top ads placement as being implemented by Google AdWords and also let advertisers to specify the maximum amount they are willing to pay for a single click. There is also auto-bidding to adjust cost per click to $0.01 above the nearest competitor to ensure maximum exposure for the advertisement.

Publishers :

Bidvertiser allow website owners or publishers to sell their ads space automatically to the highest bidder. The ads price is mostly affected by the quality and popularity of their website and earned on a cost-per-click basis. Publishers or website owners participating with Bidvertiser will be paid for every clicks on ads displayed on their websites. Publishers will have to categorize their websites so that ads that will appear on their sites are in the same categories. Bidvertiser is a good alternative contextual ad for beginners because it offers minimum payment as low as USD10 through PayPal or USD50 by check. Since advertisers bid for best ads placement, you can check the highest bidder for your website categories with the Bidvertiser Center feature. The ads management systems are really nice and organized allowing old or unused ads to be deleted. Publishers also have the option to view every advertiser’s websites and image ads and decline any ads that are not suitable to or not in the interest of the publishers. With detailed report for each ad such as clicks, click-through rate, impressions, and earnings, publishers can monitor performance of every ad and make changes whenever they want to.

Lomba Blog Open Source :

Untuk menyukseskan gerakan "Indonesia, Go Open Source! (IGOS)" dan Seminar Open Source Software (OSS) III Tahun 2009, Pusat Penelitian Informatika (P2I) - Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) mengadakan Lomba Blog Open Source, yaitu lomba menulis sebuah artikel di blog dengan tema “open source”.

Peserta lomba ini tidak dipungut biaya dan pemenang lomba blog ini mendapat hadiah uang rupiah.

Syarat Peserta :
  • Blog yang dilombakan dapat berupa blog dengan hosting gratis (Wordpress.com, Blogger.com, dan sebagainya) atau hosting berbayar.
  • Blog dapat merupakan blog yang baru dibuat atau blog yang sudah ada sebelum adanya lomba ini.
  • Blog merupakan blog pribadi yang milik perorangan (WNI), individu atau kelompok.
  • Blog bisa diakses lewat internet oleh masyarakat Indonesia secara umum.
  • Isi blog secara keseluruhan tidak berisi SARA atau hal lain yang melanggar norma kesusilaan, hukum, termasuk hak cipta.
  • Peserta harus menulis dan mempublikasikan minimal satu buah artikel dengan tema "open source".
  • Adanya artikel lain yang isinya berhubungan dengan "open source" akan menjadi nilai tambah dalam penilaian.
  • Blog boleh menerbitkan artikel lain yang tidak diikutkan lomba ini tanpa batasan apapun.
Syarat Artikel yang dapat Dilombakan :
  • Isi artikel bebas dengan tema open source.
  • Gaya bahasa bebas (formal, gaul, serius, atau humor).
  • Artikel harus original, tidak boleh copy-paste atau meniru sumber lain.
  • Di dalam artikel yang diikutkan lomba (boleh di bagian mana saja) harus dicantumkan kalimat:
Tulisan ini dibuat untuk menyukseskan Lomba Blog Open Source P2I-LIPI dan Seminar Open Source P2I-LIPI 2009.

  • Artikel yang diikutkan lomba harus diterbitkan dalam bulan Agustus, September, atau Oktober 2009.
  • Artikel lain (yang tidak diikutkan lomba atau di luar tema open source) boleh diterbitkan kapan saja.
  • Artikel yang diikutkan lomba tidak boleh dihapus sampai tanggal pelaksanaan Seminar Open Source 2009 P2I LIPI (7 November 2009).
  • Segera setelah artikel diterbitkan, artikel harus didaftarkan lomba dengan cara mengirimkan alamat (URL) artikel ke email: semnas[at]informatika.lipi.go.id cc/tembusan ke seminarlipi[at]gmail.com, disertai dengan identitas pemilik blog (Nama, tempat/tanggal lahir, alamat, pekerjaan), dan deskripsi singkat mengenai isi blog tersebut, paling lambat tanggal 1 November 2009.
Contoh Artikel :
Isi artikel yang diikutkan lomba blog ini adalah bebas, tergantung kreativitas pemilik blog, berikut ini hanya merupakan contoh artikel yang bisa diikutkan lomba blog Open Source:
  • Keuntungan menggunakan Open Source
  • Tutorial mengenai Linux (Distro bebas) atau sistem operasi Open Source yang lain
  • Tutorial mengenai program Open Source apapun
  • Tutorial migrasi open source
  • Karikatur atau kartun mengenai open source
  • Sebuah cerita pendek dengan tema open source
  • Pengalaman memakai open source
  • Pengalaman menginstall open source
  • Tips dan Trik menggunakan open source
  • Pemikiran mengenai masa depan Open Source di Indonesia
  • Dan lain sebagainya
Kriteria Penilaian :
  • Kualitas isi artikel
  • Kreativitas
  • Originalitas
  • Kontinutias penerbitan artikel
  • Isi blog secara keseluruhan
Ketentuan Lain :
  • Dewan juri adalah Peneliti dan Praktisi Open Source dari Pusat Penelitian Informatika LIPI.
  • Sivitas P2I LIPI tidak diperkenankan mengikuti lomba blog ini.
  • Keputusan dewan juri tidak dapat diganggu gugat.
  • Pemenang akan diumumkan ke publik pada saat pelaksanaan seminar pada tanggal 7 November 2009 dan pada website seminar P2I LIPI (http://www.informatika.lipi.go.id/seminar/).
Hadiah :
Blog yang menjadi juara dalam lomba blog ini akan diumumkan dalam Seminar Open Source P2I LIPI, dan pemilik blog akan mendapatkan tiket gratis mengikuti seminar, sertifikat, dan mendapatkan hadiah:
  • Penghargaan Blog Terbaik untuk kategori umum: Rp 2.000.000
  • Penghargaan Blog Terbaik untuk kategori pelajar: Rp 2.000.000
  • Penghargaan Blog Kreatif: Rp 1.000.000

Sebuah filosofi mengatakan "Honesty is The Best Policy (Kejujuran adalah politik/strategi terbaik)" , inilah yang akan kita buktikan....apakah konsep kejujuran bisa kita olah menghasilkan traffic dan popularity yang lebih hebat dari konsep rumit para expert webmaster atau pakar SEO..?...
Saya yakin bisa asal konsep ini di jalankan dengan benar...,bila ini di terapkan pada web anda sesuai ketentuan maka:
-Web anda akan kebanjiran traffic pengunjung secara luar biasa hari demi hari, tanpa perlu repot-repot memikirkan SEO atau capek-capek promosi keberbagai tempat di dunia internet.
-Web anda akan kebanjiran backlink secara luarbiasa hari demi hari, tanpa perlu repot-repot berburu link keberbagai tempat di dunia internet.

Jika Albert Einstein memakai persamaan e=mc2 untuk menggabungkan potensi masa dan kecepatan cahaya untuk menghasilkan energi nuklir yang luar biasa itu ,maka kita akan memakai persamaan t=v1+v2 untuk mnggabungkan potensi web saya dan web anda untuk menghasilkan traffic dan popularity yang luar biasa pula.

-Jadi setelah KALIMAT SAKTI ini di letakan di web anda maka: jika pengunjung meg-klik link disini-1 akan menuju link posting anda, dan jika meng-klik disini-2 akan menuju link posting saya...dan seterusnya kan terus terjadi mata rantai seperti itu...
5-Selesai, siapkan counter tracker dan pengecek link misalnya sitemeter dan technoratitraffic dan linkback web anda.

Apa itu t=v1+t2...?
t : Jumlah traffic yang akan di peroleh web anda dalam suatu hari
v1 : Jumlah pengunjung web anda dalam suatu hari
v2: Jumlah pengunjung yang dimiliki v1 (pengunjung dari pengunjung web anda) dalam suatu hari.

Traffic:
Misalnya, web saya ini atau web anda dalam sehari memiliki rata-rata pengunjung 50 orang.., dan semuanya menerapkan konsep kita ini (KALIMAT SAKTI) dengan benar, dan dari 50 orang itu masing-masing memiliki 50 orang pula pengunjung dari blog-nya , maka web kita akan berpeluang di kunjungi 50 ditambah 50 x 50 orang pada hari itu = 2550 orang , dan akan berpeluang terus meningkat pula hari demi hari ,karena setiap hari selalu ada pengunjung baru di dunia internet, setiap hari juga ada blogger atau web baru di dunia internet...BUKTIKAN

Popularity:
Misalnya, web kita memiliki pengunjung 50 orang dalam suatu hari, dan semuannya menerapkan konsep ini , maka dalam hari itu web anda akan mendapatkan 100 linkback ke web anda, yaitu sebuah link pada KALIMAT SAKTI dan sebuah link pada link saya di kalikan 50. dan akan berpeluang meningkat terus hari demi hari....

Kenapa perlu di buat link link anda dan link saya pada posting...?
...hal ini untuk menjaga keabadian link kita, karena seperti kita tau link pada posting lebih kecil kemungkinannya terhapus....

Bisakah kita berbuat tidak fair atau tidak jujur menyabotase konsep ini, misalnya "menghilangkan semua link asal" lalu di isi dengan web/blog kita sendiri...? ....Bisa, dan konsep ini tidak akan menjadi maksimal untuk membuktikan Kejujuran adalah strategi/politik terbaik.....Tapi saya yakin bahwa kita semua tak ingin menjatuhkan kredibilitas diri sendiri dengan melakukan tindakan murahan seperti itu... browser anda, lalu anda untuk melihat hasil banjir
